3. Turmeric for Organ Health
Turmeric is potentially a very beneficial tool for enhancing organ health. For instance, it could help to protect the intestines and prevent intestinal inflammation. This is at least partly due to the aforementioned anti-inflammatory effect discussed already. But it also seems to help thicken and strengthen the intestinal wall, which can prevent bacteria from passing through it and thereby prevent infection.
It may also be able to prevent damage to the stomach lining which can be caused by pesticides in food. In one study, it was found that turmeric could help to combat the effect of pesticides on the white blood cells caused by pesticides. This might help to improve the immune system also.
Turmeric can help those trying to recover from alcohol addiction, as it is able to protect against toxins and alcohol in the stomach and also help to heal the liver!
