4. Excessively water eyes
In the early stages of the pink eye, you will likely notice that your eyes are watering and that they are watering a lot. That watering can become so excessive that it can exit the eyes in the form of tears. The wateriness and tearing are your body’s natural reaction to the infection, as it is trying to eliminate the bacteria or the virus that is causing the pink eye on its own.
The tearing can become quite excessive and could potentially make your vision a little bit blurry. When your eyes are teary, your natural instinct will be to wipe the tears away. If you do, make sure you use a tissue and that you thoroughly wash your hands or use a sanitizer after wiping them. As mentioned, the pink eye is very contagious, and not washing or sanitizing your hands after touching them can spread the condition.
