2. Hair Dryer
Another remedy that is particularly effective but may be a little painful is to use a hairdryer on the highest setting. The reason that this works is simply the heat involved. Heat is not an extremely useful tool when you’re trying to kill lice, but that is different when it comes to the baby lice. The eggs or the young lice are commonly called nits.
The heat will kill the nits that are infesting, but only about 10% of the adult lice. What that means is that you are going to have to combine the heat method with some other type of treatment like olive oil. In this way, you can treat the infestation in a much shorter period of time.
The heat will eradicate approximately 98% of the nits and treatment like olive oil will get rid of the rest. Make sure that you do not combine chemical treatments with heat because of combustibility.
