3. Pain During Urination
One of the most unpleasant symptoms of a bladder infection is that it causes pain during urination. This can take a number of forms but will most often be felt as a burning sensation. This can also help you to locate the infection and if this is a form of UTI that is affecting you further down, then you might feel the burning further down the track.
That said, it can also sometimes be felt as general discomfort or a feeling of pressure during urination. That alone should often be a sign that it is time to visit a doctor, though it too can be a symptom of various other causes. In some cases, burning during urination can actually be a sign that you have too much acid in your diet, causing your urine to ‘burn’ on the way out.
The cruel irony is that just as you start dreading the thought of relieving yourself, you may also notice that you need to urinate more often – resulting in frequent pain and discomfort.
