3. Nausea
When it comes to heart attacks, the most common symptoms may differ between men and women. While heart attacks are often associated with men, women can be afflicted with them as well. One of the symptoms that is most common among women who suffer from a heart attack is nausea. As fatty deposits build up around the heart and the blood flow becomes restricted, blood flow to other areas of the body may be restricted as well, including in the stomach.
Oftentimes, stomach pain that is associated with a heart attack will get worse when you exercise and will become better as you are resting. If this occurs, it is a warning sign that you have a heart problem and not a stomach problem. You should seek medical attention immediately if you are experiencing this type of pain.
