2. Smiling
A child’s heartwarming smile is one of the most wonderful things to behold and every parent wants to see their children smiling. When someone smiles, you consider them to be happy or pleased. Unfortunately, that doesn’t always hold true with autistic children.
In fact, autistic children may have a hard time smiling at all. Even if an autistic child is happy or not experiencing any discomfort, they may not smile. This is simply because they have a difficult time expressing themselves in the same ways that other children do. One of the things that you will notice about this particular warning sign is that they have a difficult time smiling at people specifically.
If your child does not smile at people, and you see other warning signs of autism that are on this list, then you definitely should have a talk with your doctor.
