3. Eye Contact
Another thing that children with autism do is avoid eye contact. If you have a child with autism, odds are that they are not going to be making eye contact with you or with most people that they come across. In fact, these children may not make any sign at all that they hear you when you speak, while normal children may actually look up and make eye contact with you when they hear your voice.
They may also have problems with responding as well as showing that they hear you. Many children with autism will talk but they will not talk with regular tones. For example, many children with autism speak with delayed speech or have poor language skills. Some children with autism talk in a monotone or sort of a robotic voice. If you notice the symptoms, then it may be a sign of autism.
