2. Kidney Disease
One of the more worrying possible causes of finding blood in your urine is kidney disease. If the filtering system within the kidneys become inflamed, it can cause urinary bleeding. When there is blood in the urine caused by an inflammation of the kidneys it could be the result of systemic disease like diabetes. However, it could also simply occur on its own without any other obvious reason.
Other reasons that blood may be found in the urine because of kidney disease include strep infections or other bacteria overtaking the kidneys. Immune problems such as IgA nephropathy and blood vessel diseases known as vasculitis may also cause blood to be spotted in the urine.
Diseases of the kidney can cause many other issues in the body as well. It is important to look for other symptoms of kidney disease as well so that you can get it treated right away.
