5. Loss of Appetite
Another early symptom of appendicitis is that the person may experience a loss of appetite. However, not everyone who suffers from appendicitis will experience a loss of appetite. In fact, some people who have this condition do not notice it at all and continue to eat normally while they are suffering from it.
There are a number of reasons that a loss of appetite may occur. One of the reasons is that the person is experiencing pressure on their stomach and this makes them feel like they are full. When a person feels full they are less likely to eat.
Another reason that a person who has appendicitis may have a loss of appetite is that they simply feel ill because they are fighting off inflammation or an infection. The body responds to this by lowering the appetite. If the loss of appetite is accompanied by pain in the lower right side, appendicitis is the likely cause.
