4. Vomiting
Many people who have ulcers also report that they experience episodes of vomiting. In the beginning stage of an ulcer, vomiting may only occur once in a while. You might dismiss it, thinking that it is caused by something else, such as a virus or food poisoning.
However, as the ulcer grows, vomiting can become a more common occurrence and can be extremely intense. You will also likely notice that you are throwing upright after eating. The reason why an ulcer can cause vomiting could be because as the digestive fluids make contact with the ulcer, it can make you feel nauseous, and nausea – especially intense nausea – often leads to vomiting. To make matter worse, throwing up can actually speed up the progression of an ulcer. It can also lead to dehydration, which can cause a number of problems.
Regular vomiting requires a visit to the doctor.
