2. Vomiting
Related to a feeling of being sick in the stomach is actual vomiting. You may not vomit for a while, but may have a sharp pain in your stomach and may need to lie down. The vomiting is not caused by the bacteria, but by the body’s reaction to having bacteria in the stomach.
Your body is trying to rid itself of microbes, but it may not happen all at once. Then again, you may vomit repeatedly, and this isn’t usually a cause for alarm. It is essential to rest and take a break from solid food if it will make you feel better.
Make sure you stay hydrated and drink plenty of fluids, even if you end up vomiting them up anyway. Consume drinks with plenty of electrolytes in the form of potassium and sodium that will help restore balance in the body.
