3. Caffeine
Many people have trouble functioning without their morning cup of coffee. Look at the number of coffee shops around and how many people lug thermoses to work as evidence of this. Coffee and tea may have the benefit of encouraging us to get up and going, but it also can overload our system if we are already under stress.
Caffeine can make the body’s systems go faster as if stress is actually occurring so it is not the best choice for those who want to decrease the amount of pressure in their lives. A cup of coffee can quicken the pulse, and if consumed in large quantities, can cause heart palpitations or eye twitching.
If you find it hard to quit without side effects, cut down and you may notice a cessation of your eye twitching. You can replace caffeinated beverages with stimulating alternatives such as ginger infusion or lemon juice in hot water.
