4. Medication
Your medication may help you deal with certain health issues, but many of them carry side effects, such as twitching. Some diet or pain medications contain caffeine or stimulants that can cause irregular heartbeat or eye twitching, especially if your consumption of caffeine is already high prior to taking the medication.
In addition, any medicines that encourage muscle contractions may have eye twitching as a side effect. Some anti-depressants may have eye twitching as a side effect. If your medicine is the cause of your irregular eye movements, you may want to weather the problem if it is only temporary problem.
However, if you have to take the medication longer-term and find the eye twitching unbearable, ask your doctor for alternatives.. Have your eyes checked in case there is another cause besides your medication and make the switch to get rid of the twitch.
