4. Food Poisoning
The hope is that food poisoning is not what is causing your stomach pain! After all, this is a condition that can result in a lot of unwanted side effects from nausea, to vomiting, to diarrhea. Food poisoning is caused by bacteria that exist on the food and that gets into the stomach to wreak havoc. It is very commonly caused by chicken or food that has been prepared in an unclean environment.
The useful fact to remember about food poisoning is that the symptoms normally emerge very shortly after you have eaten the offending piece of food. So if you notice that you have serious diarrhea and vomiting, if you have a mild fever and if you have a loss of appetite, then you should consider whether you have eaten anything lately that might be responsible for food poisoning. If you suspect this is the case, then you should speak with your GP as soon as possible. In some rare cases, food poisoning can be life-threatening owing to complications such as dehydration.
