3. Hypertension
Garlic is also an effective cure against hypertension. Hypertension is a condition mostly identified by high blood pressure. This is actually one of the most fascinating things about taking garlic regularly. Like so many other items on this list, there have been a number of studies conducted that test the effect of garlic on high blood pressure.
One of those was a study that added garlic to those taking hypertension medication already but not seeing an effect from it. Strangely enough, even though the people were not getting a result from medication, they were able to improve their hypertension by taking garlic.
In fact, in this particular study, they took four capsules of aged garlic, which is around 1000 milligrams, and were able to lower their blood pressure by ten points after just three months. Other studies conducted recently have shown that garlic may be just as effective as a prescription hypertension medication.
