It is important to note that some of the studies conducted show mixed results. The main reason for this is that it seems that the impact of drinking beetroot juice is not as profound for people who are already extremely athletic.
This means that for the regular athlete that is highly in shape, beetroot juice or eating beets may have little to no effect. However, for the average person, adding beets to your diet before cardiovascular exercise can improve your performance, allowing you to run faster or workout harder.
