21 Healthy Breakfast Foods for Busy Mornings

New Articles: Nutrition March 15, 2018

You have probably heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But do you really know why people say that and what the benefits of having a good breakfast are? Whether you are trying to make sure you have enough energy to get through the day or you want to lose a few pounds, breakfast is the miracle cure that hardly anyone is using.

One of the reasons why has to do with the fact that everyone is so busy. Commutes are longer than ever, work hours are longer than they used to be and even your family may have more going on in the morning than you would like, all culminating in the very real difficulty in finding time for a healthy breakfast. Luckily, there are a number of good ideas out there. We have gathered twenty-one of the best healthy breakfast ideas for your mornings.

1. Avocado Muffin

First up is the avocado muffin. If you choose a whole-wheat muffin with egg whites for breakfast it can be a little boring. But when you add a little bit of mustard and fresh avocado on top you turn that boring muffin into something truly delicious. Everything is better with a little avocado on it, and if you use your toaster oven to heat up your muffin beforehand, you will have a hot and delicious breakfast that is going to take about two minutes to prepare and give you enough calories to get you through the morning and allow you to make it until lunchtime.

If you want a little more flavor with your avocado muffin, then try a little sprinkling of dill. You can even experiment with low-fat cream cheese or melted actual cheese as long as you just crumble a few bits that will only add 20 or 30 calories to your muffin.
