2. Banana Bread

Most people do not think about banana bread is one of the healthiest foods on the planet, but that’s because most people have the terrible habit of slathering their banana bread with a huge amount of margarine. While there is no doubt that this can be one of the most heavenly things you’ll ever taste, particularly if you’re talking about warm banana bread slathered with butter or margarine, the calories are out of this world.

But if you skip the butter, and use whole wheat banana bread, the calories drop down to a much more manageable amount. Add unsweetened applesauce or cream cheese instead of your normal oily condiment. If you want to make it yourself, try using honey instead of butter and make it even healthier. This is a great way to eat a quick breakfast because you can grab it and eat it in the car on the way to work.
