Using an inhaler is another good way to address a sore throat. That’s because inhalers contain steroids that can combat inflammation. Very often a sore throat is actually the result of inflammation and thereby, using a steroid in the affected area can often help.
Of course, inhalers are often provided to those that suffer from asthma. This is because asthma itself is caused by inflammation of the airways, which causes them to close up and which makes it difficult for air to pass in and out. This can eventually be life-threatening if it prevents you from being able to breathe.
An inhaler can be a great solution to combat asthma then, but it can also be a useful tool for those suffering from other forms of inflammation affecting their throats. Consult with your GP before using this to self-medicate for your sore throat.
