4. Amino Acids
Amino acids are the carbon building blocks of proteins and therefore of life. When you consume any source of protein, it is broken down into its constituents (amino acids) first and these are then recombined in order to form your living tissue.
In particular, bodybuilders aim to get as many amino acids in their diets as possible, as this helps them to build stronger muscle and to recover from heavy workouts. However, amino acids actually play a huge number of crucial roles throughout the body and can aid with everything from healing wounds, to producing key neurotransmitters, to aiding with digestion and the strengthening of bones.
As you may have already guessed, aloe vera is high in amino acids.
