4. Neem Oil
Neem oil is one of your lesser-known oils, but that’s a shame given just how beneficial it is when it comes to relieving skin irritation and a range of other problems. This is a very gentle cream, meaning that it’s not going to exacerbate the discomfort. At the same time, it has potent anti-inflammatory benefits, helping you to more quickly recover from an infection. You can use this in the same way that you would have used the aloe vera gel: by dabbing it carefully around the eyelids and just underneath the eye. Be careful not to get any in your eye.
The best way to use this and other oils is just to apply a little around your eyes before you go to bed. Not only will this allow the oil to work its magic while you’re sound asleep, but it will also help you to get to sleep – which can be very difficult when your eye is inflamed and highly uncomfortable otherwise.
