8. Sleep well enough.
Some activities during the day increase our blood pressure, and worries and stressful situations also play a part in it. Inversely, relaxing helps bring our blood pressure down, and for that matter, there is nothing better than sleeping. All of us normally have lower blood pressure when we are in a deep sleep, that’s why our levels are lower in the morning than the evening. Getting enough hours of quality sleep will help our blood pressure stay low. If you aren’t sleeping well or enough, try working on your sleep quality. Let go of stressful or demanding activities a couple of hours before going to bed, turn off the TV and your cell phone, and do something relaxing before you go to sleep. If you have insomnia or trouble sleeping for some reason, go to the doctor and ask for advice. Some medication or even easy to follow indications will help you a lot.
