25. Pinto Beans
Pinto beans are often considered to be a healthy choice for almost any type of diet. These beans have a low amount of sodium and high amounts of vitamin C, protein, iron, and calcium. They also have a low amount of cholesterol and fat. However, for those that are on a low carb diet, even pinto beans should be avoided or only eaten in moderation.
A single cup of uncooked pinto beans has nearly 121 grams of carbs. This relates to three cups of cooked beans. However, a serving size is typically much smaller as beans are rather filling, so often the carb count per serving is smaller, but still relatively high when compared to some other foods. A good rule of thumb is to cut out most beans and legumes from your diet if you are trying to stick to a low carb diet.
