4. You feel like you’re in a fog
Lack of sleep, stress, poor diet, low levels of certain vitamins, and various other factors can leave you feeling like you are in a fog; but so can thyroid problems. This is particularly true if you are suffering from an overactive thyroid – hyperthyroidism.
With this thyroid disorder, the thyroid gland produces too much hormone, which can impact your cognitive functions, thereby making you feel forgetful, make concentrating difficult, and can simply make you feel as if your brain is in a literal fog.
There are several conditions that can affect your cognitive abilities and make you feel like you are in a fog, but hyperthyroidism is certainly one of them. If you are finding it difficult to concentrate, you notice that you are becoming forgetful, or you just feel like you are stuck in a fog, don’t dismiss it; see a doctor.
