5. Coldness
Another thing that the blood is useful for is helping to keep us nice and warm. As the red blood cells move around our body, they heat us up (oxygen is a fantastic insulator), and as such our hands may be warm to the touch and even appear red!
But on the other hand, when you have kidney malfunction, you won’t have those same red blood cells and thus you can end up feeling much colder.
Now it is worth noting that once again, many things can confound your explanations here and cause similar symptoms. For instance, if you are just someone who ‘runs cold’ then this might be due to the position of your blood vessels or it may be a result of your unique metabolism.
