3. Warm Compress
The problem with a warm bath is that eventually, you are going to need to come out and to venture out into the real world. Otherwise, your skin will turn prune-like and you will eventually lose work!
But you can enjoy some of the soothing benefits of a warm bath from anywhere, by simply taking a warm compress and holding it against the side of the ear. This is therapeutic because it helps to nullify the pain and relax the muscles surrounding the area. At the same time though, it is also helpful for further breaking up and dissolving the wax in the ear as heat can help to soften and clear it.
A warm compress can be made in numerous ways. One option is to create what is known as a rice sock: simply fill a sock with some rice, tie the end in a knot and then place in a microwave on low heat. This works because the rice will absorb the heat, creating a nice warm pad that you can hold against your ear.
