6. Celery
Celery is highly hydrating, which can help you to provide extra water in your diet. It’s also a great source of fiber, which can make it useful for clearing out your bowels and your urinary tract and generally encouraging all your systems to ‘flow’ nicely.
Celery is often thought of as a detoxing food, which is one reason that it is often recommended for treatment of kidney stones. It is worth noting that the term ‘detox’ is one that is not particularly well regarded within the scientific community. There is no evidence that the body benefits from any form of detox beyond the functions that it normally carries out without further prompting.
That said, it certainly can’t hurt to try! Try blending a celery stalk with water and then sip it during the day.
