2. Shooting Pain
Not only will you experience numbness, tingling, and discomfort but you can also feel a shooting pain. This will often occur on the skin itself or on the limb. In many cases, the pain will literally feel as though it is shooting or traveling rapidly down the nerves. These sharp pains may be enough to make you stop what you are doing or to wince from the discomfort.
Shooting pains can be a symptom of many different things and in fact, sometimes we will experience them for seemingly no reason at all! This is why, as with all conditions like this, it is best to consider the precise nature of the shooting pain and the surrounding symptoms.
If you don’t see a rash yet, but you have tingling and mild pain on the skin of the back and sides… and if this then is followed by shooting pains… then shingles become a likely explanation.
