7. Tiredness
It is not surprising that you may feel tired while you are fighting food poisoning. Your body has a lot to deal with trying to get rid of the bacteria. Think of food poisoning the way you would the flu. The symptoms, such as nausea, are very similar, and food poisoning taxes the body in a similar way to when the body is battling a virus. Take a day or two off work and rest the way you would any other illness.
If you are vomiting or have diarrhea, you may be suffering from water or mineral loss, which may you feel even more fatigued. Rehydrate your body and limit activity and you may have enough energy to fight off the problem. Make sure you are getting enough minerals even if through a fluid form, since it may be difficult to eat when you have food poisoning.
