6. Lack of Appetite
If you have eaten something your body is having difficulties with, there is no mystery why your appetite may drop. When your stomach and digestive system is busy trying to deal with something you ate that was a bit off, it will not want to encourage you to eat more. Don’t worry about the fact that you are not eating for a little while; think of the loss of appetite as a kind of detox while your system is cleaning itself out.
However, you may feel depleted if you are unable to eat and at the same time are vomiting or have diarrhea. At least make sure you have plenty of fluids, preferably with electrolytes such as sodium and potassium to replenish minerals in your body. It isn’t unusual to have hunger pangs while you don’t actually want to eat something when you are suffering from food poisoning.
