5. Raisins
Raisins may seem like a great snack. They travel easy and you can grab them at any time. You could even keep some in your desk at work. However, if you are cutting carbs, raisins are not recommended. These dried fruits have 22 grams of carbs and one gram of fiber in every ounce. This means that a tiny amount of raisins would use up a quarter of your recommended daily carb intake.
While it can be an easy snack, raisins are something that you should avoid if you are on a low carb diet. These snacks not only have a lot of carbs, but they are typically sugary as well. Snacking on regular grapes is a better option as they have more nutritional value. The carb count is still on the high side at 16 grams per cup.
