2. Grapefruit
The next food that we will be discussing is one that you have likely had for breakfast at some point. Grapefruit is not the most delicious tasting fruit on the planet. If you peel back the bitter skin covering up the meat of the fruit then you have a lot better-tasting grapefruit on your hands, but what most people do is add a little bit of sugar to their grapefruit.
Grapefruit juice is also an extremely popular way to consume this citrus fruit. But no matter how you prepare it, grapefruit is wonderful when it comes to cleansing the liver. It has lots of vitamin C as do most citrus fruits, as well as a high level of antioxidants.
Although grapefruit is slightly superior to other citrus fruits, you can use lemons, limes or oranges in its place if you prefer. All of them have those liver cleansing properties.
