Turmeric is a very popular supplement for those that are looking for natural aids when struggling with diabetes. This is because turmeric is able to increase insulin sensitivity. This means that the body will become better at recognizing the presence of sugar in the body and thereby utilizing it for energy. In diabetes, the body is either not producing enough insulin, or it is unable to use the insulin that is being produced.
