6. White Tongue
One slightly more unusual symptom of vaginal yeast infection is that it can cause your tongue to appear white. This suggests that you have an oral yeast infection, which can be caused by the same candida. This is often the result of taking antibiotics, which kills off the ‘good’ bacteria living on the tongue, which in turn are responsible for helping to kill off the unwanted fungi that can lead to a yeast infection.
If you have candida in your mouth, then this of course increases the likelihood that you might have it down below. Likewise, it could have spread from the mouth to the genital area – so it’s also worth checking your partner for this symptom.
