2. Cucumber
Cucumber might not have the same trendy factor that avocados do and they’re not quite as exotic or glamorous. But with that said, cucumbers are still highly good for us for a number of reasons.
Firstly, these are a great source of hydration. Cucumber is very rich in water. While not scarce, many of us struggle to get enough water throughout the day and therefore we spend much of our time dehydrated. This leads to a plethora of issues, ranging from headaches to cramps, to difficulty digesting food, poor skin, and much more. What you may not realize is that a large proportion of our hydration is meant to come from our food – and so you can do well to add cucumber to your diet.
Cucumber is also a great source of fiber, helping to improve digestion and bowel movements further and it contains a number of beneficial polyphenols.
On top of all that, cucumber is incredibly low in calories. This makes it an ideal snack to add to your diet that won’t add to your calorie total. Perfect for weight loss!
