3. Cool Water
While you probably won’t want to rub any gels in your eye and probably shouldn’t touch your eyeball with your finger anyway… what you can do is to rinse your eye with just a little cool water. The coolness is going to provide soothing for your eye and can help to ease swelling as a result.
At the same time, you may find that doing this can help to clean the eye, to remove pus, tears, and discharge, and to help prevent you from reinjecting yourself. Just be very careful doing this, as getting a large amount of water straight in the eye can actually be highly uncomfortable.
