2. Scaliness
When you have ringworm, chances are that the rash will not only be red in color, but it will also feel a bit scaly. This means that the skin may become flaky and broken. The rash may appear to be uneven. When you scratch at the rash you may notice that the scales will become loose. When these scales become lose you may notice that they fall off. This can occur at any time, which is why it is important to try not to scratch the rash.
One of the reasons that this condition is so contagious is because when these flakes become loose and they fall off they can end up in your bed, on your couch, or in other places where they can infect other people. It is important to be very careful when you are infected with this rash as you can easily spread it to everyone that you come into contact with.
